Hide and Seek

My wish is that everyone will meditate;
Find the One inside who is screaming—
“Here I am!
Look no more,
You silly fool!
Love is at my door;
Knock, and I’ll be there,
Waiting for you
To find Me."

The greatest game of hide and seek!
The One you are searching for
Is begging to be found.
“O, you silly fools"
Bhakti says
“WAKE UP!”
"That which you are longing for
cannot be found without;
Only within!"
You must stop your aimless searching.
The pot of gold begins and ends
Within your very own Heart.

Won’t you stop?

Look inside.
Find the One who is breathing you.
Find the One who watches while you sleep.
Find the One who remembers your dreams.
Find the One who is calling you home.

Your search is futile.
Please rest your tired feet
And weary minds,
And let the comfort of the Beloved
Sweep you off your feet.
You ARE living in the Temple of God.
You ARE a manifestation of His loving energy.
Don’t let this lifetime pass you by
Without recognizing this eternal Truth.

There is no birth,
There is no death.
There is Love,
And only Love
eternal.

Holy Christmas--this is too cool!
Check out the quote that just appeared on my random-quote header:

"It is love alone that gives worth to all things."
St. Teresa of Avila

Not only does it echo my sentiments, it was said by one of my favorite mystical saints!! Yahoo!

I read a book about the One. Apparently, the One was a giant space alien that sought to destroy humanity. Luckily, we managed to convince it that it was a monster and needed to be killed.

Foolish multi-brain!

Your words are beautiful and resonate the truth. It isn't hiding from us ... we have just buried it with all the crap from the outside world. It’s cries have become muffled. A little spring cleaning will reveal our selves to us. Discard the junk. Our souls are founts, not storerooms. There is no ultimate answer in the outer world, only outer answers to outer questions.

True, all true. I read a great quote this week, but I can't remember where I found it:

"The eye with which I see God is the same eye with which God sees me". Meister Eckhart

One, two, it's all the same in the end. Just another number that wouldn't back down.

DIDI (again thats 'sister' in Hindi ),

Dont take me wrong , but there is a proverb in Tamil ,

"For those who are on "this" side of the bank , the opposite side looks "Greener " , the same is what those on the Opposite side think too " ,

But actually , both the sides are of same color .

Christanity & Hinduism are the 2 Banks . Both are just two different path to the same Eternal Soul , known as "GOD" .

Johnny--it's great to have you back! Always an honor to read your wise words. In great love and respect...thank you.

KENJU: Great Meister Eckhart quote. He was a terrific mystic. All mystics seem to have the same experience, no matter what 'religion' they practiced. Sri Ramakrishna outlined this throughout his entire life. There is only One. The Witness. The Knower. God. Whatever. It's just beautiful.

Thank you for your lovely comment.

SUSUBALA: Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. :)
I'm glad the poem resonated with you.

GYROBO: I read a fantastic book several years ago that detailed the origin of the number ZERO. I believe the title of the book was ZERO. It's amazing how much power the number zero holds in the physical world. Just thought, if you haven't already, that you would enjoy reading that book.

Since the One has created everything, you are correct in saying that One and Two are the same. On the deepest level they are, just like you and I are made of the same fabric. The great thing is that when we (humans) merge with the One, we don't become two, we merge into the One and the One remains whole, as One. Just like a river that merges into an ocean. The river disappears, and only the ocean remains. It's all just water, anyway, isn't it? :)

PS This pontification was purely for your reading pleasure. Nothing more, nothing less.

BOOTCAT: Yes--the two banks. To be free, one must ultimately let go of the bank and flow into the ocean, where Love (God;s love) alone exists. I my experience, when you let go of the 'idea' of Christ and Krishna, etc, that's when you find the 'real' Christ and Krishna within.

"May we merge into love, and dissolve into love...May love deliver us and merge us into its great sphere." --Swami Chidvilasananda, from her GOD IS YOUR CONSTANT COMPANION talk.

To answer the question you're sure to ask, you'd be surprised the kinds of things you find in Character Map.

MILADYSA--Yes, water is a wonderful metaphor--very Eastern Philosophy. Even a wave that crashes on the shore is made of the same substance as the rest of the ocean. The metaphor being that God has taken many forms, yet nothing exists but God (the Self, the One, etc...what you 'call' it is not important.) :)

GYROBO: How did you know I was going to ask you how you did that??? Where is this character map??

BATHROOM HIPPOCRIT: Yes, whatever you say, that's it!

ZOMBIEsLAYER: Thank you, and right back at you!! :)

DEB: Yes, I have a chapter book written, however, I am not going to get it published. I am going to leave it to the archives of the ashram/gurukula where I predominantly did most of my spiritual studies.

I also have a ton of poems that I want to put into a volume some day; but that day will have to wait.

I do have a humorous chapter book that I began in art school and resumed last summer before my surgery. I will probably work on completing that before any of the spiritual work. This blog is my spiritual offering to the world.
Thank you for your comment, and for suggesting that my book would be well received. :)

The day I merged with the One was the worst day of my life. It wasn't an ocean at all, but a kind of gelatinous fungi that covers everything in something akin to the upholstery you find on thrift store couches.

So I've been working at merging with other numbers lately. 23 has proven to be quite pleasant, but I wouldn't recommend 417--too many soap dishes.

You can read all about it here.
