Photo / Poem / Question

THE POEM:

For You
Thank you for calling me home...
My beloved.
Your warmth, Your love, Your grace
Carry me beyond the mind,
Beyond the body,
Beyond the pain.
You heal me with Your loving Shakti--
After a while, I surrender.
You uphold me,
You cleanse me;
I sway to the rhythm of Your tender caress.
An ocean of nectar envelops me--
A fireball of grace
Rejuvenates me.
Your love transforms me
Until I no longer exist;
Until there is nothing
But Your love.
Thank You for calling me home.

THE QUESTION:
(This is a question that came up for me during a meditation in August, 2005--just 3 weeks after my spinal surgery. I would like for you to contemplate the question and then, if you feel so inclined, record your answer in the comment section of this blog. Much love, Bhakti.)

What would it be like
if you spent your whole life
knowing you could do
whatever you put your mind to?

I think if i get a chance to do whatever i put my mind to.

I would be happy, but would be happier if all my life i keep struggling to get to do so.

The path we walk on is always more interesting than the destination.

I CAN do anything I put my mind to. The trick is putting my mind to it.
I guess it's just the old cliche-"Where there's a will, there's a way". You just have to want it bad enough to do what is required.

Hmmmm...lovely poem.

Hmmmm...if I could do anything I put my mind to...I would educate all of the children of the Andes.

Hmmmm...after that, I would spend the
rest of my life hiking and studying in the Andes. Just walking up and down, meeting as many shamans and sorcerers as I could find.

Or....I'd just live on the coast of Brazil and spend my days surfing and get paid to do it.

I think I would do just about what I'm doing now: writing, dreaming, playing music.

But I would add some turntables and a mixer into the mix. Then I would hire The Pointer Sisters to back me up.

Those gals rock!

wow!! are you my lost sister or what!! By the way I still believe we all can do anything we put our mind to...its just that we tend to get willingly distracted just about everytime.

have a great day!
