HAPPY SHIVARATRI!
I just chanted the wonderful 'King Of Mantras': OM NAMAH SHIVAYA in honor of Shivaratri. As you can see, Kitty is still deep in meditation (or contemplation; it's hard to tell!).
May everyone, everywhere, benefit from the blessings of my prayers this evening. May my pain be enough so that no one else may have to suffer pain. May everyone, everywhere experience peace and love in their hearts. This is my wish. May it be so.
Tonight's chanting and meditation is dedicated to my beloved teacher, Sally Kempton Durgananda, and to my Beloveds-- Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, Baba Muktananda, and Bade Baba Nityananda.
Om Namah Shivaya!
Sadgurunath Maharaj ki Jay!
LOVE, Bhakti

Those are beautiful thoughts; thank you!
Thank you. And if I may say so, it appears to be working, for peace and love reside in my heart the vast majority of the time. It is my wish for you as well - and that the pain you suffer will come to an end. This is my wish for you. So be it!

Well, Happy Shivaratri to you, too!
TSHSMOM: thank you for always visiting my blog and making my life that much more beautiful!
MR.A: Yes, you do seem to convey a very content, centered sense of self. That's beautiful. And, thank you for your prayers and wishes. I do appreciate them, and accept them whole-heartedly. :)
FRED: ;)
No thanks necessary. I come for purely selfish reasons; you soothe my soul!
Hope you fully recover from your malady!
But judging from the amount of blogging you've been doing lately, you must be getting better.
GYROBO: 1) Thank you!!!
2) Actually, I changed my format--I love to take pictures with my little Cybershot Digital camera, so instead of typing a lot (which hurts my arm) I post the pictures for your viewing pleasure! Also, I've been meditating A LOT to transcend the pain, which helps. And, I've been taking more pain meds as they are truly there to help me function better as a person--even though they make me loopy and a bit manic at times! It's all good.
Once again, I would like to thank you, Gyrobo, for ALWAYS making me smile!!!! :)
PS Now that I KNOW that my neuropathy is probably a condition that I will have to learn to deal with, I am taking a VERY proactive approach to living my life to the best of my abilities. Pain or no pain.
Lots of love to you, my little metal guy. May your blog be read by EVERYONE EVERYWHERE...because you spread so much altruistic joy!
om namah shivaya...
YOur dedication to Lord Shiva, and your words of kindness, i thank you.
My grandmother ones said,if you fast today you will get a husband who will be loving and caring.
I asked her, but why fast?.
She said by fasting you serve Lord Shiva, and by this small act you let someone have your meal who is hungry and that you Love Lord SHiva more than the worst pain on this earth. HUNGER!
Let there be food and water to all on this earth. I pray with you Bhakti.
GRASSHOPPERBOY: Thank you for your sweet comment. :)
PASSERBY%%: Thank you for your loving words and prayers. Because I am on a lot of medication for my spinal injuries, I did not fast, however, I did offer ALL of my food to Lord Shiva as an offering of my love and thanks.
Om Namah Shivaya!
Every time I get a headache, I imagine the pain being enclosed in mettalic spheres. Then the spheres get smaller and fade away.
If you concentrate, it might work.
I know this, I'm a doctor.
DR.ROBO: I actually do a meditation where I imagine the pain to be a ball of energy (which is actually is) and as soon as I picture the ball of energy, I breath peace into it, and, more times than not, it does dissipate somewhat. The pain does come back once I'm up and about for awhile, but I'm working on carrying the transcendent state into my regular daily life. This endeavor might take some time...probably already took many lifetimes to get me where I am today! ;)
Thank you for your advice (am I going to get a bill in the mail??)
QUE???
Can anyone translate the above comment for me??
Me thinks it's an advertisement for some spanish blog, but you never know, it could be the CIA trying to avert my attention with the spanish lingo. Maybe I need some sleep. Goodnight.
Happy Shivamatsumoto to you as well.
May your innermost quest be fruitful. :)
One tiny point to share: The major part of the Truth lies beyond the signs and metaphors of religion and mythology. Try to look beyond them, and try not to be bound by them.
Not sure if I had the right to say that, but I still took a chance. Hope I did not sound offensive to anyone.
Best wishes
(Smiles)
May Shiva bless you as well as the rest of the World.
ON Shivratri, I have put up a picture of a statue of Lord Shiva erected in Murudeshwar. This is my obeisance.
Please have a look and comment.

BATHROOM HIPPO: Where have you been!! Thank you for wishing me a happy...er...uh...Shivamoto, or whatever. I hope you enjoyed the weekend! :) BTW, did you get that thing I sent you? :P
PRADEEK: First of all, feel free to say anything that you wish on this blog. :) And, BTW, I agree with your statement 100%. One of the reasons that I don't put pictures of Jesus on my blog is because He is so dear to my heart (He IS my Heart!) that I don't feel a need to use the symbolism. I must explain, however, that I am FASCINATED with Hinduism and the entire Indian culture. That is why I post pictures of Lord Shiva, etc. I practice Kashmir Shaivism and Advaita Vedanta. I LOVE Hanuman, Lord Shiva/Shakti, Adi Shankaracharya, etc. I post their pictures because they bring me so much joy!!! And, of course, to honor them. Having said that, I do agree with you that the TRUTH lies beyond the images. Beyond the words, etc. Your comment was beautiful, as are you! Thank you.
EZEE123: Thank you so much for visiting and for leaving such a beautiful comment. I visited your blog and the photo of Shiva sent shivers up my spine!!!
Om Namah Shivaya!
I see you've been gifted with that random Portugese comment spam.
Some guy from Brazil has been storming the blogosphere, leaving identical comments on dozens, if not hundreds of blogs.
And he seems to not care about the language barrier.
Hi bhakti!!! Glad to see you are back to your wonderful happy self.
I will catch my kitty in a pose & send him in.
Hi L>T!! I'm glad to see YOUR wonderful, happy self on my blog! ;)
Beautiful thoughts and sentiments Bhakti!
Happy Maha Shivratri (:
Maha Shivratri greetings
