2 QUESTIONS

1. Call me crazy, but I just spent the past hour and a 1/2 creating my new 'stained glass' header. Do you like the new look?

2. Do you think I should run for President in 2008?

Love the header. It's maaahvelous!
Question #1, a resounding "yes."

Bhakti for president? If I get to head up your VP selection committee - and then pick myself for VP ;'p.

(Don't worry, I don't even own a shotgun!)

Question #2
Bhakti in 2008, YES!

"MAD" ALFRED: I KNEW you would want me for president!

MIZFIT: The elections would be cool--except for Florida. I don't think I could count on their votes if they're still ruled by the little Bushter. We all know that W. will probably run again in 2008 even though it's not legal for him to have a 3rd term. OH, IS BHAKTI GETTING SARDONIC??? :)

MR.A.: I would love for you to head up my entire PR campaign, although I would have to say that I would probably put Zappa as my running mate, because I still contend that he would do a better job dead than our current admin. OH YES, BHAKTI IS INDEED BEING SARDONIC!!!

GRASSHOPPERBOY: Yes! I would allow everyone in India to vote (for me!) :)

J&M: Hhhmmmmm...does the 'M' stand for my sister-in-law's name? or the little one across the street??? I can't count on your vote? Is that what you are saying??
Don't you think this country needs a president who is home all day with her cat? Willing to entertain the troops with cabbage and corn?? (Not to mention the sprouts???)

Hahhhahahahahaha......

CC: I'm glad that you like the header a lot! I need a ride to the doctor on Monday. Are you game?

Yes, Kitty will be my running mate along with Frank Zappa.

Isn't Frank Zappa dead???

Blogger Unknown said...

Yes, Anonymous, he is dead. But, as I stated in my above rebuttle comment to Mr. Althouse, I still contend that Zappa would do a better job dead than our current admin is doing alive. I am saying this in jest, even though I may or may not believe it to be a truth.

Confusius says:

Glass stain remover = Wink®
Stained glass remover = rock

But keep your header. It's rad!

You should defnitely run for Pres. Then Gyrobo could be Secretary of Vegetation, and I will be the Soup Advisor. Done deal!

hi... Was looking for some test papers. Got them here. thanks.
NOT a person to leave without commenting. i hope you don't mind.

I found your blog spiritual, mystical. Have you heard of siddhashram?

your new header:
the stained glass luks fragile. good effect.
For votes in INDIA. JAI BHAKTI(MAA/BEN/DEVI), would be a winner

You are a cat lover. Eyes closed to everything around and still doing a good job. What's your election manifesto?

with regards

A Hindustani.

KENJU: Hey--thanks for your vote! :)

FLATLANDER: You're so funny! What is Wink?? Is Canada's most famous window cleaner??

Yes, you can be my soup diplomat. ;)

PASSERBY: You said: I found your blog spiritual, mystical. Have you heard of siddhashram?

I have not heard of siddhashram, however, I do practice Siddha Yoga. Gurumayi is my beloved.

What are these 'test papers' you are talking about, and where did you find them 'here'? Just curious.

Thanks for visiting; visit again, and often! :)

Maybe I meant Wisk, or Fantastic. I think that Wink is actually some kind of discontinued drink.

But in Canada we usually use frozen fish fillets to clean our windows and and other household surfaces--it's more planet friendly.

We put the "mental" back in environmental!

You're crazy (there I called you crazy)

By all means, run.

I once thought of running for President of Peru.

BTW, am creating new fractals incorporating Kokopelli (or CoolCoolPelli) as I like to call him.

What Subversive Alternative Paradigm Are You? ... I was inquisitive to take this test...

At one place, Bhagvatpad Shankaracharya has said, "The fulfillment of human life can only be attained when one goes to Siddhashram and takes a holy dip in Siddhyoga lake

thanks...i should be here more than often

Hi Mark: Thanks for calling me crazy...someone had to.

I looked at your website. Very beautiful images. I enjoyed looking at some of the fractals.
What exactly is a fractal, btw? Does it have to be created on the computer? Not on the computer? By hand? Etc...etc....?

Please let me know.
Thank you!!

We NEED an honest politician, so GO FOR It! ;)

TSHSMOM: Yes...we could use an honest president (or politician, for that matter). It's such a shame that honest-politician has become an oxymoron, isn't it??

PRADEEP--Hi! Thanks for visiting again! Yes, it would be cool to have a president blogging amongst us...but it would be even MORE cool to have a president who meditates and wants to find the Truth within! :)

I think the stained glass looks cool but I don't know if it goes along with the rest of your blog. I personally think of Christian churches with stained glass but you have a picture of Lord Shiva(?) under the stained glass. I may be reading way too much into this. Maybe a line of elephants or something like that would fit in better. Am I way out in left field here?

6:01 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

HI BILL: No, you are not reading too much into it. Jesus is my, let's say FAVORITE deity, or perhaps, the deity that I was drawn to since a very young age. He lives in my heart so much so, that I fail to see the purpose in putting pictures of Him on my blog. I actually don't think that it is appropriate to put pictures of Him all over the place (except for my room). I can't explain why. I feel Him so intensely in my heart, I don't feel a need to embellish that notion on my blog.

I have been studying Eastern Philosophy for over 15 years, and I am incredibly drawn to the Hindu tradition. I love the fact that Hinduism has over 1,000 names for the different aspects of God (even though they only believe in ONE God). I study an Eastern tradition of meditation called Kashmir Shaivism, and I honor the notion of Shiva, Shakti, and the individual (the Hindu trinity is synonymous with the Christian Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Shiva representing The Father, the Individual (or human aspect of God) representing Jesus (who represents God in human form, of course), and Shakti representing the Holy Spirit.

So, to answer your question, I could see where someone would deem the stained glass as being 'Christian' because that was my intention. I LOVE the stained glass images of Jesus in the various churches that I worshiped throughout my life. Also, my father does stained glass.

If the real question is, why would a Christian have a picture of Shiva on her blog, then, or to be so drawn to the Hindu tradition, then I would have to say it's personal, and it works for me.

;)

PS I admire your asking that question, by the way. That was a very thoughful, insightful question.

Blogger Bill said...

Thank you for the explaination. Now I can see where you are coming from and what your blog is about.

Blogger Unknown said...

I think of my blog as a simple expression of what I am all about, and even though I am incredibly drawn to spirituality, I rarely discuss religous or spiritual things on the blog. Once in a while I will reference a holiday or post a picture, but the blog is not about spirituality, per se; it is more of a manifestation of (what I consider) the goodness that comes to me from my spirituality.

I hope you will continue to visit the blog, Bill. I enjoy your company! :)
