"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like..."

Snowglobes? Ha!

Ok, in all seriousness, here's an old Irish seasonal sentiement (translated to English, of course) for all you softies out there:

"Deep peace of the running wave to you; deep peace of the flowing air to you; deep peace of the quiet earth to you; deep peace of the shining stars to you; deep peace of the watching shepherds to you; deep peace of the Son of Peace to you."

Happy Festivus, one and all!

p.s. Where ya been, Bhakti? I haven't seen you at 'Alex's Olde Time House of Depravity' lately.

VANATHI: I'm glad you like the new logo design.

ZOMBIE: Yes. Live Laugh Love. That pretty much sums up my philosophy! :)

MILADYSA: Thank you, sweetie!! :)

ALEX: Thanks for the happy Irish thoughts (I'm half Irish...though I don't know if it's my left side or my right side that is Irish...)
Why haven't I been to your site? The past couple of days I have been experiencing LOTS of pain in my left arm, most likely due to the fact that I started physical therapy on my neck last Monday. So, I've been staying away from the computer a bit. I'll be back in full swing by Saturday!!

GYROBO: Happy Thursday to you, too, my little metal guy from mars!

We can ALL thank GYROBO for the fantastic upgrades to the JAIBHAKTI weblog. He did, afterall, design my lovely purple avatar with the four arms!

I don't like to take credit, since hubris topples empires. But I see no other problems with an excess of arrogance.

Sorry to hear about the pain Bhakti - those physio-terrorists are a pain - but necessary :)

MILADYSA: Oh CRAP! Did I mention the pain again?? I hate when I do that! But you are correct, the physical therapists are a necessary necessary, so I will continue to frequent them often.
Thanks for your sentiments! You are SO sweet. Give yourself a BIG HUG from me!! ;)

Alex, that is such a beautiful quote. I'm stealing that for our email Christmas greetings. Thanks ;)

SAGE: Thank you. I can't WAIT to see what recipes you post for the holiday season!

GYROBO: There can be NO humble pie for the creator of the great avatars!

MINT TEA MYSTIC: Considering that the "Festivus" word came from Alex, it's probably latin for 'festivities'. (You probably already knew that, though.) Alex has more cool Latin sayings than I do Confucius jokes! In fact, Confucius say:

Man who keep feet firmly on ground have trouble putting on pants!

TSHSMOM: And peace to you, too!

COUSIN CHRISSY: Yes, of COURSE I will be going to your house for the holiday festivities. I was thinking of picking up the game MAD GAB. What do you think--My fourth graders like it!

Happy holidays to you also. Every time I see the name on this blog it throws me a little since a guy I work with is named Bhati. Just that "k" of a difference.

Festivus comes from a Seinfeld episode NOT Alex....am I correct???

UTENZI: Ah! It's great to see you again. I'm so glad that Michele turned me on to your site, too!
Come back soon! :)
p.s. Please ask Bhati what his name means (in either Hindi or Sanskrit, I suppose). Thanks!

ANONYMOUS: I was referring to Alex's comment above.

This is great! People are going to riot soon, if I don't tell them why I chose the word I did. I feel like Robert Browning!

"I'll be back in full swing by Saturday!!"

Good to hear, Bhakzilla. I'm going to have to put you in charge of cracking skulls at my blog for a little while. I'm heading to London on Sunday, where they apparently have no hotels with internet access, and then I'm winging off to the good old U.S. of A.

No more English ale for a little while, but at least I'll be able to get a decent cheeseburger.

Ooh! Not to mention Mexican food: I haven't had a single burrito since I came to this bland, damp country. Someone hook me up to a habanero paste I.V., stat! =)

MINT TEA MYSTIC PIZZA: (Hey wait--are YOU GYROBO?????)
Oh my GOSH! I'm sorry, everyone! I just got a call from Cousin Chrissy telling me that festivus was one of the funniest Seinfeld episodes. ALL I WAS SAYING IS THAT ALEX ALWAYS QUOTES LATIN AND THAT'S PROBABLY WHY HE WROTE THAT. Do I have to hire a lawyer to get me out of this debacle?? PLEASE, EVERYONE, IT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON, FORGIVE ME FOR MY SEINFELD TRANSGRESSION!
BTW, I once stood right next to Julia Louis-Dreyfus on a street corner in NYC (hey-that didn't sound too kosher--we were, uh, waiting for the 'walk' signal, that's all!). She came up to my waste!! And her husband, Brad Hall, was about 6 feet taller than me.

STILL FIGURING OUT: Thank you!

ALEX: Uh oh. You've maddened blog royalty. You probably won't get out of London without a couple of lashings now! BTW, I bet Miladysa makes the BEST hamburgers in the world!!!! But, I'm vegetarian, so I'll never know. My point is, Miladysa is obviously (from the looks of her blog) a very good cook! :P

I'll be sure to leave lots of irreverent comments on your blog. If you didn't post pictures of naked women on your blog once a week I would post a link to it on my blog...but, considering the neices and nephews read my blog, it ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Anyone who wants to know what I'm talking about can go to noncompos.blogspot.com on your own volition. (Be advised: ADULT CONTENT. NOT for immature eyes. If this cat didn't have the funniest sense of humor I would never visit him myself!)

MILADYSA: How was that for sticking it to him??? :)

EDDIE: Oh my gosh! It's GREAT to see you! What brings you here???
Anyway, come back anytime! Happy holidays!

EDDIE: You DO know that I'm the Bhakti that got kicked off your site a couple of times, no?? You know what I say...BYGONES! Everyone's welcome here. I hope you will visit often! I don't see red or blue: only purple. So, it's all good! ;)

MARK: Uh oh...is that a Woody Allen reference that I'm not familiar with?? I know it's not Latin... :)

EDDIE: Yes, well, I often wonder how people have time for their blogs and still have a life!

HEY EVERYONE: LISTEN UP!
I'm actually GOING OUT TO DINNER TONIGHT!! It's only the third time since August (since my spinal surgery) that I've been able to get out to dinner with friends!
Hey Hey Hey...See you all on the flipside!

Well, don't eat any bland English food. You might turn pale and start talking in a frumpy accent.

Just kidding, Miladysa! I actually love England. It's just that, when you leave your home continent for very long, you start to miss things. I think if there was a good mexican restaurant (with some spicy food - dear god, you people eat bland, bland, bland stuff; even the curry is bland, bland, bland), and a decent burger joint, I wouldn't feel like Europe is so alien to my own culture.

I haven't seen a single Mexican or Indian (feather, not dot) since I've been here. That's really, really strange, having come from Minnesota.

How did I get on this topic, anyway? You guys always derail my train of thought.

I am soo happy for you Bhakti - enjoy yourself and thank you for your support!

Alex, London is not England, there are not many English people there it is full of tourists! If you want to taste proper food come up North - visit Manchester and the Curry mile in Rusholme. I once went to Florida - now that is bland!

Only kidding, have a peaceful weekend everyone and thank you Bhakti for all the joy you bring :)
