SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! (Another Lazy Day In The Bhakti Household!)

I have been feeling relatively good for the past two days, and have been going for leisurely walks around town. This morning, while lying in bed, I was daydreaming about walking uptown to the bagel store to purchase myself an everything bagel with olive cream cheese and a large hazelnut coffee with milk. Oh, it'd been so long since I'd even had enough energy to think about doing this. I was psyched!

"I'm going to get dressed and walk uptown today to get my bagel and coffee!" To have the energy and the desire and the ABILITY to go for a walk today seemed an absolute Godsend!

Then, I opened my blinds: snow everywhere (see picture above). Huh-oh--plans cancelled. *Must call parents to pick up said bagel and coffee.* Kitty and I decided to just lounge around and not do much of anything productive today. It's a lazy day in the Bhakti household. That's okay, too!

Note to readers: In a previous post I wrote about how Kitty Von Kitty (pictured above) has no sense of balance. Do you notice the little nick on Kitty's nose? Last week she tried to jump from the computer monitor to the little tray-table I have set up by the window for her. She missed the table. Actually, it would be more accurate to say that she hit the table with her nose, instead of her paws. She pranced away from the scene of the accident as if nothing was wrong, but I distinctly remember hearing expletives coming from underneath the bed, where she took refuge in order to lick her wounds.

MAKE YOUR VERY OWN, COMPUTER GENERATED SNOWFLAKES HERE! (This really is just too cool for words. Try it out and have fun!)

One of the few things better than a lzy day is an enforced & therefore allowable lazy day due to snow - which is FUN!

Hope you enjoyed it

Hi Bhakti. I'm visiting from Michele's, and I'l glad I am. I love this site: it's homey, charming, and a good read - all in one.

I loved the wintry scene from your window. Since we're experiencing similar weather here in Canada, it is at once familiar and comforting.

Give your cat a pat from us. What a sweetie!

I see you finally visited Michele, and apparently you like it, since you are playing the comment game. You will never be sorry that you found this site, Bhakti, and you will "meet" lots of wonderful, interesting people.

Pretty kitty you have there; what does cat cursing sound like?

MRS. AGINOTH: Yes, there is a very guilt-free pleasure in a snow day!
Thanks for visiting!

CARMI: I'm glad that you like JAIBHAKTI. It's a haven for me as I recover from spinal surgery. It's been a real blessing, meeting people from all walks of life, like you, for example! I thoroughly enjoyed your site, as well. Consider yourself Blogrolled, and come back often! :)

THEO: (I love the name THEO, by the way!) Yes, any excuse to snuggle with Kitty Von is okay in my book!

PREGO: Sorry to hear about the dog droppings in the snow. I love your profile avatar. Peanuts is the greatest cartoon and I have littered my classroom with pictures of its various characters, and comic books, to boot. Thanks for visiting!

KAT: re: CAT OF THE MONTH... simply email me a picture of your cat with a brief write-up.
jaibhakti@aol.com

CRAZYQUEEN: That's some profile picture! Very cool. Yes, my Kitty was blessed with an extraordinarily cute face! :)

KENJU: Yes, thank you for introducing me to Michele! This is fun, and after playing three times, I've already met a few bloggers that enjoy the same things I do!! Wonderful!

Kitty Von Kitty cursing ranges from the typical MEOWSHT!!

(OOPS, I got thrown off of my own comment....)

as I was saying, Kitty Von Kitty cursing ranges from the typical MEOWSHT!! to the extra-demonstrative FMEOWUCK!!!
(I can say that on my family-friendly blog, can't I??? :)

Michele sent me to see you and your snow, Bhakti.

I was at Judy's site earlier and went to do some snowflakes also. Cool stuff.

I hope your cat recovers from the embarrassment, Bhakti. Cat's don't like to be seen doing foolish stuff like that. Poor kitty.

Whenever one of my cats has missed the mark they always pretend that they meant to land the way they did. Very funny but never laugh or the will seek revenge and trip you while you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Yup. She walked around like "I meant to do that" until she was out of your site. Then it was "that !@#$%^& stupid &^%*()%$ dang $@#%!^&*!"

ZOMBIE SLAYER: Yes! Are you familiar with the George Carlin skit (probably from the early '80s) where he talks about cats getting hurt and pretending they're okay only to go behind the couch and curse their buttocks off?? LOL!

I suspect that you might enjoy Carlin, no??

The snowflake thing is loads of fun.

L>T: Your 'mr. handsome' sounds very cute! I'm glad that you enjoyed the snowflake link, it inspired me to try to make some out of paper, too!
