Some Photos For Your Viewing Pleasure...
I love the roots to this tree. I love the fact that they are above ground. Don't they look like Medusa?

Great photos.....and I share your enthusiasm for tree roots. That is a very nice pic!
You take great photos, JB! I love the meduesa-roots and the gum-fence.
Happy Monday!
KENJU: I've been walking a lot lately, and I've been incredibly struck by the beauty of the roots to that tree (the Medusa looking tree photo). The roots first caught my eye when I was walking in the rain. I looked down, and there were just the most incredible puddles of water created by the roots to that tree. The birds had a totally natural birdbath created just for them! Thanks for visiting so often, Kenju!! :)
FLATLANDER: First of all, I'm so glad that you keep visiting; I've been very lax with blogging lately, and I certainly haven't been visiting many blogs...so, I appreciate that you haven't forgotten JB!! :)
And yes, Happy Monday to you, too!
(Do you remember the band The Happy Mondays? They had a really great album out when I was in art school (late eighties, early nineties) and then I never heard from them again. Hum....
I have a similar statue of St Francis under our birdfeeder. St Francis is one of my heroes too.
Have you ever seen Brother Sun, Sister Moon?
Ah, the gum fence, reminds me of when I was in school....
I dig the roots!
Get it? Dig, roots - nevermind. ;")

You have such a cool vision of the world. I so get where you're coming from: it's important for us to catalog those things that most folks would otherwise ignore.
I'm having a hard time picking a favorite, as they are all wonderful.
TSHSMOM: Hi! I have never heard of Brothe Sun, Sister Moon--although I do recall a song by that name by the band The Cult (it was on this INCREDIBLE 1980's album called LOVE).
What is the Brother Sun, Sister Moon that you are speaking of??
HANUMAN: thank you! How are you doing these days???
SALBERT: Did you used to put gum on the fence??
MR.A.: Great Pun! ;)
CARMI: Hi! Thank you for saying that I have a cool view of the world. I am still unable to work (health issues), so I make myself walk every day. I can't help but see so many beautiful things. The world is so amazing. I'm kinda glad that I've had to slow down a bit, so I can see so much beauty that I used to take for granted!
:)
nice pics! yes, those roots do remind me of medusa's hair and the gum on the fence was really good...cant wait to see how it would be once the kids complete the art work
The medusa roots thing was amazing. Myself, I have a really weird tree on my lawn. A few years ago, one of the branches fell off... but it fused back onto the trunk. So now there's this branch that looks like it's not connected to the tree, but leaves still grow on it. Transcendant!
I love the blue flowers picture.
It was a Franco Zefferelli film about how St Francis started the Franciscan Order. Beautiful film!
Great pics. Gotta love 'em!
