National Potato Day!
JAIBHAKTI has deemed October 29th to be the national "BAKE YOUR BEST FRIEND A POTATO" day!
So, get those ovens fired up, and bake away!
(Some of you may be wondering what this could possibly have to do with a 'grace filled life'.
O-come on! Laughter is love! Love is grace!)

I just checked my Sitemeter log and it shows that someone from Boise, Idaho just checked out this site. How did they know I was blogging about potatoes????
Happenstance thrives on JAIBHAKTI!
Are we allowed to put toppings on the potato--or should they be strictly potato like your cousin prepares them?
We should just declare it Potato Week and dress up as potatos for Halloween!!! I will be a potato and my husband is going to be a packet of BBQ sauce!!!! It's gonna be great!
I like to play with Mr. Potato head....he is a great guy. I am going to take him out and put him in my window for National Potato Day!

Can we eat French Fries instead of potatos?????
Does it have to be a baked potato?
Well, considering that October 29th is my cousin Chrissy's birthday, in order to honor her we should keep it at least as close to the baked potato realm as possible.
Perhaps a twice-baked potato would be acceptable, but I think french fries should think about getting a holiday of their own.
Sorry! But, we need to think about the sole intention of this special day when making these decisions!

p.s. I've just informed the The Washington State Potato Commission about my new national day of potato baking for friends campaign. Let's see if they throw some cash my way for promotional necessities!
I do not do french fries but how about wedges? If not, we shall bake :)
